Our buds from Crosby Hops Farms came out to get shreddy with heavy portions of their extremely delectable Estate Grown Comet, Centennial and Deep Cut Cascade. We haven't gotten to play with it much, so we got a little carried away with CGX Nuvo of all the same varietals in the whirlpool. Come take a gander at this one.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy gold n pour, foamy head dissipates quickly. Aroma is stone fruit, notably apricot. Taste is fruity, strong, dry. Funky, complex.

Poured from pint can into imperial pint glass.
A: Pours a beautiful hazy orange yellow hue with 2 inch billowy white head with good retention.
S: Tangerine, mango cream, soft lemon, orange pith and a bit of pine resin in the background.
T: Tart tangerine, soft lemon, mango cream, orange peel, and hints of peach and floral notes.
M: Medium body. Soft and slightly creamy feel. Citrus and tropical sweetness. Mildly tart and bitter. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: Solid brew for style. Excellent hop expression. Decent complexity to keep things interesting. Nice to enjoy on a sunny early summer/late spring day!

Canned 3/11/26
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5-10% clarity) medium and bright orange color with a massive white head. SRM of 8. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aroma of orange, tropical, melon, blueberries, some sweet peach and Cap’n Crunch notes. Finishes with floral and mango notes. (4.25)
Flavor: Flavors follow with orange, lime, guava, pineapple, and grapefruit skins. Mango skin, berries and floral notes after the end. Finishes sweet. (4.25)
Feel: Heavier body, appropriate, carbonation, finishes, juicy, tropical and sweet. Moderate alcohol burn (3.50)
Compared to Toppling Goliath Sumo Sue 4/26: Milder head, stronger aromas. Less orange, melon, pineapple, floral notes. More peach, tropical berries, mango. Sweeter.
to Toppling Goliath Pseudo Alien 5/26: Pours lighter, milder aromas. Less floral and berries. More sweet mango, pineapple. Cleaner. Winner: Toppling Goliath
to Wax Wings The Pursuit 5/26: Pours lighter, similar aromas. Less pithy grapefruit and pine. More tropical mango, pineapple. Sweeter.
Overall: . I don't get much BlackStack anymore. This has some more old-school hops so I wasn't sure what to expect. Intense aromas of orange, pineapple, blueberries, pineapple, mango with a distinct malt that reminds me of Cap'n Crunch. Flavor follows but backs off a bit. Drinks heavier and sweet. Shows the alcohol burn is the only criticism. The flavor here is robust and complex. I shouldn't have ever doubted BlackStack. (Rating: 4.13)
