This beer has gone many monikers since being one of the 4 beers on tap when we opened. Brewed with a touch of Coriander & Orange Peel. This time around fermented in a French Oak Foeder.

Hazy yellow color. Big, white head. Wheat malt, orange, spices, and yeasts in the aroma. Light and refreshing. Moderate, balancing bitterness. A good witbier.

From a 16oz can

The beer looked somewhat clear when I started pouring this beer. The look got hazy as I finished. The color lemon colored. The head is a white 2 finger head. The head retention is poor and there's no lacing on the glass.
The aroma is really strong with banana and cloves. Very well balanced and pleasing.
Flavor is a great wheat flavor. There's a nice banana and clove flavor. The banana has hints of banana cream pie, though there's no lactose here. There's a good balance with the cloves.
The body is full and has a hint of a bubbly feeling.
This is damn good.

16oz can. No dating information found.
Unfiltered, cloudy straw colored body. One finger of short lasting white head. No lacing.
Aroma of esters (cloves and banana), coriander spice, and citrus.
Taste is tangy wheat malt, coriander spice, banana, cloves, and a touch of orange citrus.
Medium mouth feel. Very slight tongue sting. Good carbonation.
Workable wheat ale.

Appearance: Pours a slightly clouded (80% clarity) light and pale tan color, only hints of yellow, but mostly pale. A small white head. SRM of 5 or less. (3.75)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of lemon and lime citrus, coriander, some clove and bread spice with a complex yeast note. Wheat and some wild yeast on the finish.

Flavor: Flavor follows with more lemon lime citrus upfront. some tart pear, grape, juicyfruit, some Belgian spice and wheat. A slightly tart citrus, yeast and crisp finish.

Feel: Medium-bodied. Lower carbonation, but still has enough yeast. A crisp and slightly tartness lingers.

Compared to Bells Oberon Ale 6/2/22: Pours much lighter and hazier. Stronger aromas. More lemon/lime citrus, tart fruit, Belgian and wild yeast. Less orange citrus and gummy.

Overall: An interesting wheat beer as there is some certainly some Belgian spices and some wild yeast notes. Nice lemon/lime citrus notes, some tart fruit, some lightly floral Belgian spice and coriander, before the yeast and wheat finish. Couldn't find this beer listed on their website. Not sure I would classify this as an American Wheat. The description of "wheat beer" is sort of vague. I definitely see some Belgian qualities in this one and would probably classify it more of a Belgian Wheat. (Rating: 3.85, slightly lower b/c I'm not sure what style we're going for here)
