Loud BitsLoud Bits
Notes: We got together with our buds out at Weldwerks in Greeley, CO to mash up their Flagship IPA, Juicy Bits, with our OG Double IPA, Loud Pack, out at their spot for 4/20.We loved how their version came out so much that we decided to give it a rip (LOL) on our system. Bags on bags of our selected Citra, Mosaic & Australian Galaxy with their selected El Dorado. Juicy to the last bits.

Pale gold with a small head that disappeared quickly. Smells like orange and grapefruit juice with a dank hippiness. Tastes sweet and juicy up front with orange and grapefruit juice being prominent. Thick and creamy body but a little light on carbonation in the can I had. Overall a solid beer that really brings that Juicy Bits vibe and kicks it up a little.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy straw color, thin silky head, lacing. Fruity aroma, citrus at first, slowing turning tropical. Tropical fruity taste with light dank notes. Really nice .

Canned 4/20/22 (2.5 months ago)

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (5-10% clarity) medium, bright orange color with a massive white head. SRM of 7. (4.25)

Aroma: Large aromas of orange, pineapple, papaya, guava, honeydew melon, some green tropical fruit, mango. (4.25)

Flavor: Large juicy flavors of orange, mango, ripe pineapple, some sweet honeydew and green tropical melon flavors. A smooth, sweet finish, with a mild bitterness. (4.50)

Feel: Large bodied. Moderate carbonation. Finish is juicy, sweet.

Compared to Weldwerks Juicy Bits 7/7/22: Pours a lighter, hazier color. Stronger aromas. More ripe tropical fruit, green honeydew and tropical melon. Less orange juice and citrus rind.

Compared to Weldwerks Loud Juice 7/28/22: Pours lighter. Milder aromas. Similar flavors. More green citrus. Less green tropical fruit. Slightly lighter and cleaner. Also slightly more bitter.

Overall: A fantastic NEIPA here. A collaboration with Weldworks and based on their Juicy Bits beer base. This one has the addition of Galaxy hops to the Citra Mosaic and El Dorado already present. It has nice green and sweet honeydew and tropical melon flavors. Juicier and leans sweeter than Juicy Bits, but I think I preferred this one. Juicy Bits drinks sort of average to me and this one goes down more flavorful and smoother. (Rating: 4.35. I'd probably give it between a 4.25 and 4.35)

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy, medium pineapple juice yellow-orange with a one finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit hops, orange, mixed stone and tropical fruit and a touch of pine; spicy. Flavor follows with citrus, tropical fruit and dank hops, orange, mixed light tropical fruit, green melon and a little pine. Modest bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Wanted to try this brewery and this hazy was the only thing available, so I gave it a shot. Alas, it is only modestly bitter and to my taste did not do justice to it's fine mixed fruit flavors. The hop bill is a quite winning one; although busy, the flavors hang together nicely. The light pine promises some final payoff, but like most of this style, it finished soft and faded. Great start though. I'm giving this extra points for the initial flavors, I think if this had some alpha oil heft this would be a hazy I could really love. Nicely made and will please those who enjoy this style.

Can. White head. Lace. Hazy sunset yellow.

Juicy, tropical, soft. Mango, melon, honeydew, papaya, orange. Floral bitterness and some green hop powder, but very smooth and drinkable.

Definitely one of the better recent releases.

Hazy, juicy and moderately bitter. Pretty well put together hazy IPA. Easy to drink. Medium mouthfeel. No complaints.
