Citra… But Make It Pop

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (15% clarity) light to medium yellow color with a moderate white head. SRM of 5-6. (4.00)

Aroma: Strong aromas of lime and lmeon citrus, citrus flower, with some garden and floral herbal notes. Green melon underneath. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of lime and lemon citrus, some garden herbs and floral notes with the sweet honeydew melon underneath. Finishes with green melon and mildly sweet. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-body, strong carbonation, finishes balanced. (4.00)

Compared to BalckStack DDH 755 Exp 17701 12/2022: Pours a similar color. Stronger aromas. More lime and floral herbal notes. Less tropical pineapple and mango. Sweeter. Winner: Citra But Make it Pop

Overall: A nice showcase of the Citra hop here. Lemon/lime flavors. Some garden herbal and citrus floral notes to balance. Overall finishes slightly sweet with some green melon. Nice flavors with the citrus. Sweeter for the lower ABV. Good stuff, but I don't know that it really pops. Pretty average for BlackStack.

 

 

16oz can. It looks like a hazy lemonade, light barely passes through and it's a very pale yellow color. Lots of lemon/orange/lime citrus scents.... Accompanied by cat pee. All those great citra flavors you'd want and expect... but followed by a weirdly foul 'baby diaper' flavor that I can't do justice. It tastes like plastic mixed with household cleaner. I dunno what happened here, but it's one of the very first BlackStack brews that I haven't enjoyed

On tap. White head. Lace. Hazy pale golden color.

Orange juice for days. Juicy and tropical. Floral and earthy hops. Some pineapple. Easy drinking. Prefer this to some of the doubles and triples.

 

Pours a hazy lemon wheat color with a fresh head and lacing. Smell is fruity with wheat and oats . Taste has faint citra ,melon and oats . Mouth feel is thin watery with citra hops , Blackstack did not make this one pop.
