Appearance: Glowing hazy yellow-white body. Soft creamy white head. Lacing comes in sheets.
Aroma: Ripe melon, honeydew, cantaloupe
Flavor: This is one of the rare beers that I've had that has a cantaloupe flavor. I wonder if it's the Equanot hops. Also get some papaya, lime, and honeydew. Great flavor.
Mouthfeel: Soft pillowy body with light carbonation. Medium bodied.
Overall: Another solid offering from Blackstack. They rank about 5th of Brewers of NEIPA that I have tried (after Tree House, Junkyard, Hop Butcher for the World and Barrel Theory)

A - Pours hazy yellow, with orange highlights, with a white head that fades to a fat cap, with a dense rim, and extensive lacing.

S - Orange and tropical funk with mango, passionfruit, pineapple and a touch of guava.

T - Flavor opens with citrus and tropical fruits, orange and pineapple, a mango aspect, and a bit of peach. Subtle bitterness in the finish.

M - Prickly carbonation, acidic spikiness, and moderate weight, closing dry.

O - Pretty solid NEIPA, delicious juiciness, and fairly easy drinking, too.

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (15% clarity) light and pale lemon yellow color with an average white head. SRM of 6. (3.75)

Aroma: Mild aromas of citrus ,tropical pineapple, tropical orange, some mango skins underneath. (3.75)

Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of lemon citrus, orange citrus, tropical pineapple. Juicy, slightly sweet. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-bodied, decent carbonation to balance the sweetness. Sweet and juicy. (4.00)

Compared to BlackStack Microdosing Strata 1/2023: Pours hazier, darker. Milder aromas. More lemon citrus. Less bitter mango skins and grapefruit. Slightly more citrus and juicy, but also somewhat similar.

Compared to BlackStack Loud Drops 1/2023: Pours similar. Stronger aromas. More lemon citrus and tropical pineapple. More mango skins. Less orange and heavy mouthfeel. Juicier and more tropical. Winner: Keeping it Casual.

Compared to Junkyard How Bizarre 2/2023: Pours darker, stronger aromas. More tropical pineapple and dank mango notes. Less clean citrus zest. More flavorful and sweeter.

Overall: A pretty good NEIPA here. Nice juicy but also tropical flavors. The Idaho gives some mango notes. The Triumph gives a nice lemon/lime citrus juiciness here. Quite enjoyable and a nice and better than average one for BlackStack. (Rating: 3.98+)

 

Pours a hazy lemon wheat color with a white head and lacing. Smell is tropical fruity and herbal. taste has citrus lemon lime spritzes with some melon and papaya. Mouth feel is soft sweet with tropical hops.
