Team Nevertheless came by to brew "WE'RE NOT WAITING", the fifth installment in a series of beers honoring Women Brewers in Minnesota. Brewed with Weyermann Malt & hopped with Helios, German Tettnang & Contessa. Fermented to crispy perfection with German Lager Yeast, this Kellerbier is served a little young & left unfiltered in accordance with German tradition. This brew is an ode to women near & far: We're not waiting for opportunities to come to us, we're going out & creating them. So, grab a pint & cheers to the women who keep the brews coming.

As defunsta said, there is a date on a BlackStack can! I applaud this move and also hope it's a permanent addition.
We're Not Waiting reminded me of Summit Keller Pils in some ways. Pours a bit cloudy, solid white head, taste is bready, a bit sweet, crisp, hoppy. There was a special character to SKP that is different from We're Not Waiting, but I enjoy it more than any keller-style beer I've had since SKP was retired. Cheers to The Women Brewers of Minnesota and BlackStack!

Canned 3/1/23
Appearance: Pours a completely clear, pale golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of lemon citrus, lemon flower, wheat and some earthy pale malts. (3.75)
Flavors: Strong flavors of lemon citrus, wheat, pale and bread malts. Some yeast on the finish, lightly sweet with a light bitterness and grainy bite (4.00)
Feel: Medium-bodied, average carbonation. Finishes bready, mildly sweet. A light bitterness and grainy bite (4.00)
Compared to Summit Twin Pils 4/2023: Pours clearer, similar head. Stronger aromas. More lemon citrus, pale bread malt. Less dry yeast, grains, flower. Sweeter and less carbonation. Winner: Summit
Compared to Surly Hell 5/2023: Pours similar, milder head. Milder aromas. More earthy and soapy yeast. Less sweet lemonflower. More yeasty, dry, and bready.
6/2023: Pours similar, milder aromas. More grains and yeast. Less lemon zest and flower. Grainer with more of a bite.
Overall: It drinks pretty alright. Lemon citrus, pale bread malts. Sort of indistinguishable from a Czech or German pilsner. There's finally a date on a BlackStack can! Nice to see and hope this continues with their NEIPAs. That's what this beer is to me. Memorable for the first date I've seen on a BlackStack can, but not much further than that. It does improve as it warms however with more grainy and less sweet flavors giving a hint of bitterness. . (Rating: 3.93)
A little bit of that earthy, peanut butter/wheat flavor
