Do you want the good news or the bad news first? This year we got to select New Zealand hops for the first time. In celebration of such a joyous occasion, we decided to use all of them in a brew together. Full of our beautifully striking selected lots of Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin & Riwaka from down yonder. Wait, what's the bad news?

Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (20% clarity) light and pale yellow color with a moderate white head. SRM of 5. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of grapefruit citrus, white wine, pear, green apple with a floral and vinous finish. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of white wine, pear, grapes, apple. Some grapefruit citrus as well. Finishes with a light floral, pine, Venus bite. Zesty and clean. Medium bodied, strong carbonation finishes with a bite. (4.25)
Feel: Light to medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Dry, crisp, clean. (4.25)
Compared to BlackStack DDH 755 HBC 638 9/2023: Pours darker, clearer. Stronger aromas. More floral vinous, pear, grape, grapefruit. Less overripe pineapple. Dryer, crisper, cleaner. Winner: News To Me
Overall: Digging the New Zealand hop flavors in News To Me. Pleasant balance of grapefruit, white grape, pear, with a floral and pine bite. One of the better ones I've had from BlackStack. (Rating: 4.18)
