Appearance: Pours a nearly jet black, completely dark color with a thin tan head. SRM of 24. (3.75)

Aroma: Strong aromas of brown bread, chocolate, caramel, with some sweet honey and molasses notes underneath.

Flavor: Strong flavors of vanilla and chocolate upfront, then some coffee roast emerges before a sweet brown bread, honey, granola and malt flavor. A lingering cocoa and coffee bitterness. Lean, sweet, but a nice bitterness to balance.

Feel: Heavier body, low, carbonation, smooth and lean sweet.

Compared to Founders' Breakfast Stout 1/2024: Pours similar, milder head. More vanilla, English cocoa, sweet granola and malt. Less coffee roast.

Overall: BlackStack Morning Routine, which is claimed to be a Granola Stout meaning it has granola added for sweetness. I'm calling it a Breakfast Stout. Nice English chocolate and bittersweet flavors. Slightly sweeter than my liking but decent. (Rating: 3.74)

Toasty granola and roast coffee on the intake, with a chocolate and malt aftertaste. A little over-sweet for me, but cleaner than your average cluttered sweet stout.
