It's a running joke when we rub hops each harvest... "Yeah, I like everything about it... I just wish it popped more." It turns out that "popping more" can be an incredibly difficult thing to quantify for a sensory panel. The next brew in a series showcasing some of our favorite selected hop lots. In this case, Nectron from New Zealand put out to pasture with Cryo Pop, a blend of Yakima Chief Hops specifically for dry-hopping during primary fermentation.

Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (30% clarity) light and pale golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and some tropical mango skins underneath. (4.00)
Flavor: Flavors follow with strong, orange, pineapple, with an earthy mango skin flavor underneath. (4.00)
Feel: Medium body, appropriate, carbonation, finishes, balanced, and rather dry. (4.25)
Compared to BlackStack Microdosing Superdelic 1/25: Pours lighter, similar head. Milder aromas. More pineapple, mango skins. Less tangerine, red citrus, cherry, tropical berries. Drier.
Overall: Lot of orange, pineapple, earthy mango skins and hints of stonefruit. Some good southern hemisphere flavors and vinous notes with the stonefruit addition. (Rating: 4.01)
