Well, Well, Well, If it isn’t everyone’s favorite way to judge their self worth… Brewed with our Buds at Yakima Chief Hops & NZ Hops with some lots of Experimental HBC 602 from Yakima in Washington & Nectaron from New Zealand that are really checking all the boxes. Yeah, it looks, tastes & smells amazing… But what do the numbers say?

16oz can. No dating information found.
Cloudy, straw colored body. One finger of pale white head, and this results in a full cap and ring, with foam attached to the sides of the glass. Leaves behind horizontal lattice work for lacing.
Aroma of lemon, orange, melon, pineapple, and mango.
Taste expresses more strongly than the nose. Flavors of overripe orange, pineapple, and mango. Other flavors of lemon, green grape, and grapefruit. All of these tone down a bit in the aftertaste, but linger. Low bitterness, and more fruity sweet.
More than medium mouthfeel. Melted ice cream-like, and a little stickiness. Excellent carbonation.
Extensive lacing on the glass, lacks somewhat in the nose, big overripe fruit flavors, and a soft texture. Sweetness makes it very easy to quaff.

A - Pours a hazy, pale orange, mostly opaque with just a hint of transparency and some translucence, a short white head that fades to a thin white line, and some fine-lined lacing.
S - Strong hit of tropicality, citrus, and hop dankness, a definite hint of cat pee and body odor funkiness over a fruity core, but in a good way.
T - Strong mango and pineapple, peach and citrus highlights, a bit of booze over a stronger sweet peach note in the middle, and a splash of pith and zest over a continued nectar through the finish.
M - Mild carbonation, a bit of stickiness, some alcohol warmth, and a dry close, with just a touch of pumice.
O - Well built and satisfying, this beer flirts with off notes in the nose, taste and feel, but in all cases stays on the right side of the affair. The result is delicious, so it all works.

to BlackStack DDH Spongebath 5/25: Pours identical. Similar aromas. More grape, berries, bubblegum. Less tropical pineapple and mango.
Overall: A new Triple dry-hopped IPA from BlackStack with some Nectaron. Some nice lemon, pineapple, mango base as usual from BlackStack but with a distinct grape and berry flavor from the Nectaron and HBC602. Little bit of a hop burn that will settle down a bit. BlackStack is killing it with nearly every IPA. I could have sworn there was Mosaic in this from the robust blueberry and raspberry flavor. Must be the HBC 602. BlackStack is on another level here.
