The Fourth brew in our series exploring how some of our favorite hop varietals, in this case citra and mosaic, are made even more vibrant with the help of Phantasm, made out of Sauvignon Blanc Grapes Skins from New Zealand. The aroma precursors found in Phantasm, referred to as Thiols, help us free even more pungent aromas from the hops we’re using. We’re excited for you to try our new iteration of this banger.

16oz can. No dating information found.
Mostly cloudy, straw colored body. Brief lasting one finger, white colored head, which retreats and leaves islands and a full ring. Only leaves behind a few scattered lacing spots.
Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, and toasted malt.
Taste is mostly white wine-like, with some juicy fruit elements. Flavors are generally sweet, and include white grape, grapefruit, sweet pine, and mango sherbet. Aftertaste gets more earthy.
Medium mouthfeel. Soft texture. Earthy bitterness but at a low level. Good carbonation.
Hues true to the hops employed.

I got a tall boy can of this beer from Flight in Downtown Yorkville, Illinois whilst hanging with my Oswego Posse. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some nice lace. The scent had ripe citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle sweet malt base with ripe sweet citrus presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

From a 16oz can with no date on it.
This is a very murky looking beer. The color of the beer is a golden color and there's a 2 finger white head. The head retention is decent and I like the lacing left on the glass as the head dissipates.
Very tropical smelling beer. It is so full of hops. I get just a huge hit of pineapple and some grapefruit. I also get a slightly earthy aroma in this beer.
Taste - The tropical flavors are more sweet than I was getting off the nose. I get a huge mango hit from this beer. I also do get some pineapple and grapefruit notes as well.
This beer is so damn juicy feeling. It is very soft and nice full bodied.
This is a good expample of a beer done in this style very well. Quite delicious.
