It’s a running joke when we rub hops each harvest… “Yeah, I like everything about it… I just wish it popped more.” It turns out that “popping more” can be an incredibly difficult thing to quantify for a sensory panel. The next brew in a series showcasing some of our favorite selected lots, in this case Krush (Formerly HBC 586), & putting them out to pasture with Cryo Pop, a blend Yakima Chief Hops specifically formulated for dry hopping during primary fermentation. Yeah, I like it… But can we make it pop?

Appearance: Pours a cloudy goldenstraw with a two finger cap that fades to a film; squiggles and clumps linger
Smell: Papaya, pineapple and lemon/lime tones
Taste: Papaya and pineapple forward with the lemon/lime flavors emerging; a touch of pithy bitterness, in the middle, though the overall bitterness is restrained; a nice bitter "pop" in the finish with a touch of lychee
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: Well-balanced and certainly Krushable
Thanks, MJohnson303, for the opportunity
