Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a one finger head that fades; leggy with splashy lacing
Smell: Citrusy and tart, with lemon/lime and grapefruit pith tones; oaky with a distinct Tequila aspect
Taste: Rather tart at the outset, with lemon and, particularly, the lime, dominant; pithy grapefruit tones emerge but, after the swallow, the Tequila barrel shows its influence
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; puckery
Overall: Between the lime, the Tequila and the puckery bite, we have here a faux Tequila shot - pass the salt

Pours a fairly clear light yellow with minimal head. Aroma is citrus fruit, mostly lime with some grapefruit and agave, touch of tequila. Flavor is amazing. A lot going on here. First, it tastes like a funky sour, But not too sour, just a touch. Has a nice honey sweetness to counter the tartness. Then there is the citrus. Lots of citrus flavors: I get lemon, lime, and grapefruit. Has a little citrus burn on the finish. And the tequila barrel - adds a nice dimension of flavor like there was a shot of tequila dropped in the beer. And, with all this flavor, it is amazingly only 4.9% abv. And it is effervescent, light bodied, and refreshing! This is one of the most well constructed beers I have ever had. Sad I only bought a 4-pack to bring home with me from NC.
