Lightly foggy straw yellow, perhaps a touch darker, with a short but dense off-white head.
Crazily enough, after having had an Imperial Head Hunter the night before, and as strong as Styx is, this small brewery seems to be making a more balanced imperial IPA than the wizardly experts at Fat Head's. This is a little crisper, while also much less boozy. The malt is not graham-like, instead presenting as more toasted cracker, which is perhaps a little nutty at times. The hops are less piney but still fiery, with big zesty orange.
Really cleansing, lightly drying with a numbing bitterness. Okay, whoa. This is solid AF.

Heady, dank aroma. pours a slightly hazy copper with a thin white head. This is one for the hop heads, there's barely enough malt to support the large hop presence. There's a slight note of lemon and tropical fruit, a touch of sweetness, then a long lingering bitter finish. The alcohol is very well hidden. Overall, a solid IIPA.
