Poured from 330mL bottle into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 5/26/24.
Appearance: light straw hue with a moderate haze and a thick finger of frothy white foam atop. Nice, although a little more head retention would be good.
Smell: bright, lemongrassy hops, atop a lightly sweet pale malt base. Based on the label, that's what they were going for, and they have succeeded here.
Taste: very lightly toasty malt character with floral, citrusy hops atop. It's edging toward the soapy quality that floral/citrus pale ales can get, but it stays far enough away from that ledge to be a refreshing and tasty pale. Bitterness is a bit on the high side, but that's OK by me.
Mouthfeel: light body but with a good carbonation and a nice creamy texture.
Overall: based on some of the other beers I've had from this brewery, my expectations were not super high. But this is a totally cromulent light and citrusy pale ale!
