sold to us by our server as a hazy brown, i was super curious, but its not a hazy brown ipa or anything, its a honey brown, just a very poorly refined one, hazy for no apparent reason, radically under carbonated, and frankly one of the least impressive beers we had as a group in here, hopefully still a work in progress, this has amateur homebrew written all over it. i cannot really smell or taste honey specifically through the darker chocolate malt, its just sort of generically sweet, almost more of a brown sugar note than a honey one with the grain here, and because of that, i am wanting this to be drier, which was a theme across several of their beers, honey or not. like the others though, there is much potential here, the malt is simple but nice, the honey if more evident could compliment it well, it just isnt there yet. it feels woefully thin without much carbonation, but maybe works as a bit lighter example of the style. one of their weakest offerings in its current state, nobody was too keen on this, and i think overt haziness will always be out of place in a brown ale...
