Poured from an 11.2 oz. can. Has a slightly hazy golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste is grapefruit, passion fruit, some malts. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

It appears that in the heart of darkness that there's a bright spot. Bright fruit flavors piled on a bright and sunny pale ale base flavor. It's something playful, light hearted and whimsical. It appears that darkness has a soft spot.
Heart of Darkness' Bia Buoi pours with deeper golden pour, moderately hazy and capped with a creamy white froth. As its fruity and herbal scent rises to the nose, accents of citrus, tropical and botanical character precedes a sweetness of honey, wafer and breadiness. Hop flavors abound with white grapefruit, lime and orange peel with more tropical flavors of passionfruit and kiwi. The additions of pomelo peel add to the tropical and citrus medley ahead of an herbal bitterness of green tea, verbena, sassafras and spruce.
Medium bodied, crisp and somewhat stale in flavor, the beer might exhibit old character or using malts that are less refined or fresh. Otherwise, the dark brewery is onto something with this pomelo pale ale.

L-Pours a gold beer that leans slightly strawberry pinkish in hue. Very bubbly throughout, nice finger and a half rocky head.
S-Slight orange, pomelo, grain, malt, and a peppery note towards the end.
T-Slightly sweet with notes of tropical fruit (pomelo), grain and bitters in the profile. Not a whole bunch else. A bit unpleasant towards the end.
F-Light bodied, heavy carbonation.
O-Pretty mid. This is a subpar beer with slight tropical flavoring, in my opinion. Cool to have my first beer from Vietnam, but not a big fan. The idea was there, just not great towards the end.
