Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 16 oz. can, though I didn't note the type of glass.
A: Pours a very clear amber with relatively low visible carbonation. Forms a half-finger of white creamy head with good retention.
S: Blood oranges, resin hops, and a bready malt with a modest touch of caramel.
T: Fruity oranges and bitter orange rind, lesser flavors of tropical fruits and melon. The hops manage to stand up to the bready malts that have less caramel than the aroma suggested, but who still add a good amount of sweetness. The malts still stay behind hop flavors though. A lingering hop bitterness after the swallow, but not overly so.
O: Full-bodied for style. Low alcohol presence and an average carbonation sensation.
O: I thought this was enjoyable, but it's orange-forward for sure. The malt bill is a little heavy for an APA to me. But enjoyable enough.

Came across this brew in a pint can at ttheCraft Brew Cellar in Brandon, FL last one on the shelf in the cooler. First time I've seen it as I have been to the TBBC to eat before. Can says "Blood Orange Pale Ale". Pours a dark red in color but clear. Starts smooth on the front of the palate with citrusy notes that hit the tongue and nose. Finish is a bit more bitter than I prefer, overall it's not too heavy of an ale with a decent mouth feel different for sure in terms of APA's I've had in the past. I would buy again if I can find it but I believe it may be a fall/Halloween type limited release brew only though. Couldn't find in their archive beers either.
