Tasted on draught at the brewhouse in Ybor City. This was a very nice American barleywine. It has the expected depth of malt, but with bracing hops bitterness and lots of complexity.

Pours a deep amber color with a small light tan head that leaves some light lace. This version is 10%
Aroma is malty good caramel notes is the highlight of this beer, some deep citrus under the malt, Don't believe I have ever smelled a BW this muted before.
Taste is loads of malt caramel American BW flavors without the big American BW hops. Some deep citrus bitterness that mingles with the caramel malts kind of like a 5 year Bigfoot without the complexity. Taste is a touch better then the nose but can't imagine anyone tasting this and saying its good this brew a bunch of this mediocre BW.
Mouthfeel is nice though big medium almost to chewy level good malt backbone.
Overall a drinkable beer its strong and malty but not the complexity or hops of a good BW English or American. Wouldn't or couldn't recommend trying this unless you just want some big ABV's

Night out with Bro and Sis to celebrate Bessie's birthday. Had a taster of this at the bar.
