Aged in Cotherman American Rum soaked oak barrels for 6 months. This is a BIG BEER. Opens up malty & sweet, with fruity esthers being the front-runner. Complex aromatics, notes of raisin, molasses, bread crust & subtle nuttiness. Full-bodied mouthfeel with generous flavors of caramel, toffee and brown sugar. As this beer warms, dried fruits and vinous character shine through.

A great rum-barrel-aged American strong ale. Attractive appearance with rich head. The rum has mellowed the aromas and flavors, bringing out more malt and sweetness and muting the hop presence you'd normally expect in the style. The finish has an herbal or vinous note that is unusual but fits well with the overall impression.
