This beer is dry, roasty, bitter, and big on flavor. Aroma will reveal grapefruit, pine, citrus, and resin notes. Perfect pairing with our French Onion soup, Meatloaf, Shepard's Pie...

Had on-tap at the brewery on 4/28/24. Reviewed from notes. Served in a shaker pint glass while sitting outside on the patio.
A; Very dark brown with a thin tan head. Near-opaque. Not much visible carbonation.
S: Nice roastiness with pine and grapefruit hops.
T: Follows the nose. Big roasty malts balanced with a nice hoppiness. Grapefruit rind, resinous pine. Not overly bitter - not quite at the Stone SSR level, but quite hoppy. Some restrained chocolate notes in the malts. Moderate bitterness in the hang.
M: Medium body, good carbonation, low alcohol presence.
O: Quite tasty, though I'm biased with this style as it's one of my favorites. I'm enjoying this, and will likely get a second (Narrator's notes - yes, he did). Good beer.
