Had this at the Fredrick Brew fair this past summer and was underwhelmed to say the least so I tried it again when it showed up at my local shop. A good looking beer with a nice clean gold color no haze like some brew-pubs who start bottling. Out of the bottle was even worse in terms of taste. It was like a Gold ale but kind of cardboardy and lacking in the hops dept., not that it needed a lot but more would have helped hide the flaws in this beer. I talked to one of the brewers at the fair since I am always for suppoting local brews but he didn't want to hear my critizism and only took offenese well it was understandable after tasting his beer. If there was not BMC around I would have another drink of this sorry brew. I'll try it again in a couple months if they send out a new shipment, hopefully they improve their beer if not I think they are doomed.

Served as a sample at the Deep Creek Brewery. The color was golden, with a little head retention. The smell was malty, with a hint of sweetness . The taste was fairly sweet, very sweet for a paler lager. The mouthfeel was smooth, with good carbonation. Drinkability-wise, I'd probably have another.
Although I'm normally disappointed by the "transition" offering at a brewpub, I think this one certainly stood on its own merits. A good, solid lager.

Dark gold color with a light, fluffy head that shows good retention. The aroma is a lightly hoppy aroma. Pleasant, but nothing great. The taste is again light and hoppy, with a slight sweetness and a lingering mineral finish. Accurate for the style, but not all that memorable. The mouthfeel is decent, with a noticeable body while still being light. The lingering mineral aftertaste hurts the drinkability a bit, but it would be a great refresher on a hot day. A solidly crafted brew.
