Served as a sample at the Deep Creek Brewery. The color was a dark amber, with some head retention. The smell was much more malty than other IPAs I've had, with very little notice of hops. The taste was not very hoppy at all, with no real notice of the citrusy flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth. Drinkability-wise, this could be a session beer, but I wouldn't want another.
Maybe I'm spoiled by all of the quality IPAs that I've had, but this one seemed somewhat........reserved, for lack of a better term.
