Locust Lane Craft Brewery "IPA"
on tap at the brewery on 1 April 2017
Look: Hazy golden-amber body beneath a slightly white head. Average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Citrus fruity over a biscuity malt base.
Taste: The flavor follows but adds some tangerine and lemon, and perhaps some other fruits as well. The malt fights against the solid bitterness but holds it's own, which is perfectly acceptable for an IPA, and it finishes dray and bitter with notes of grass, citrus rind, and residual soft fruit.
Feel: Medium in body with a crisp, standard carbonation.
Overall: A clean, refined, basic, American IPA that's refreshing and drinkable.
