Locust Lane Craft Brewery "Brown Ale"

4.8% ABV, American brown ale

Look: Hazy deep-copper body beneath a slightly off-white head. Average head retention and lacing.

Smell: Toasty, and slightly chocolatey.

Taste: Soft fruit, nutty, toasty, slightly chocolate fudge-like. Its solid bitterness is perhaps a touch too much but it remains in balance, it just lingers a little too heavily in the finish.

Feel: Medium-light in body with a soft, smooth, moderate carbonation.

Overall: A clean, basic brown ale that really seems to have been done more in the British vein than the American.
