Sampling a lightly chilled 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Can is date stamped 08/08/2023. picked up at Breskis in central PA while I was visiting family a few weeks ago.
The beer pours a clear chestnut color with a slightly frothy eggshell white head of almost 2 cm. The foam does fade to a sturdy edge layer and scattered surface islands.
Aroma is some dark bread and hints of caramel mixing with a bit of a black tea hop bitterness. No hint of the ABV.
First sip reveals a medium body with very smooth texture and extremely fine carbonation that tickles my palate on each sip.
Flavor is more toasted malt that wasnt there on the nose. This is much more toasted bread and is on the edge of being roasty, but rolls to bits of caramel and here the hops are fairly bitter and lean toward a spicy profile. Finish is dry, and I never get ABV here. The beer drinks easy and my mug empties quickly. This is a solid octoberfest and easy to drink, the drying finish sends me back to the mug often. Im glad to have tried this one, it isnt mind blowing but it is what I wold expect for the style.

Dark amber in color, thin white head. Clear. Clean aroma of mild bready malt and a touch of caramel. Similar taste, well balanced. Medium bodied.
