A complex, dark strong ale loaded with malty flavors of dark fruits like raisins and tart cherry complemented by a hint of classic Belgian spiciness. We didn't stop there and added fig and plum to the mix making this the perfect brew for the long winter ahead.

Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy dark mahogany brown pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing.

S: Sweet and malty. Caramel, brown sugar, dark fruit, and yeast.

T.F: Sweet up front. Sugars and toasted malts. Brown sugar, toffee, and caramel. Plum, fig, and baked raisin... some yeast and spice. Could have used a bit more bittering hops for balance. More complex as it warms... not overly boozy which is a plus.

O: An above average US brewed Quad. Not on the level of its Belgian brethren but interesting/flavorful enough to be worth it.
