Clear and sparkly light gold body; lively carbonation; thick and creamy head, some legs and flecks of lacing stick to the glass. Grassy and and herbal aroma; moderately intense, fresh and pleasing. Lightly toasted malt base with a mild sense of berries and melon with a moderate hop bitterness; white grape must. Generally light body; somewhat dry; crisp.

A fine and very drinkable pilsner

16oz can from Tavour. Pale golden, light cloudiness, dissipating head. Aroma is fruity, grassy and floral. Taste is sweet and bready accented with the hop flavors, with the Nelson Sauvin standing out nicely. Smooth with a soft tingle.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale yellow + bright yellow + straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of biscuit + bready malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of herbal + citrus/lime + gooseberry hops. Hints of lager yeast aromas.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + bready malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are light to moderate flavors of herbal + citrus/lime + gooseberry hops which impart a slightly heavier than light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly leaving a clean finish.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a clean finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a crisp + clean + refreshing mouthfeel. Very enjoyable pilsner with a pleasant dry hopping with Nelson Sauvin + Motueka hops.
