Appearance: Arrives almost pitch black with a thin tan head; a few shards of lace
Smell: Chocolate and coconut, with a hint of fruity espresso
Taste: Coconut macaroon dipped in dark chocolate syrup; a bit fruity, through the middle, with just a hint of espresso; modest bitterness, after the swallow, to cut into the sweeter elements and balance the finish
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied with low carbonation; warms the gullet
Overall: A pastry stout that avoids overwhelming sweetness; I like it
