Copenhagen 12/7 2022. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. A grotesque caricature drawing in Gerald Scarfe style of a quite weird-looking Pageant contender in a pink dress with a very small face and a quite broad neck.
Pours opaque hazy, slightly dirty, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, fermented odor of overripe and decomposing tropical fruits mingling with subtle citrus. Mango, peach and passion fruit. Alcohol and decay. Lemon and lime.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is dry.
A Potent and Bang for the Buck DIPA. I could live with a broad neck and a small face if I could drink beer like this everyday.

6 oz draft pour at Lures Bar & Grille. Pours a cloudy yellow/orange with a medium head. Aroma and flavor feature citrus rind, tropical fruit, and wheaty malt. Not super complex, and there is a hint of astringency or sharpness that I'm not a fan of. Overall not bad, but definitely not a great NEIPA.

A: Pours a very hazy medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale golden yellow + bright orange + apricot + peach colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium thick film covering about 35% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/orange + citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + tropical/passionfruit + strawberry hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + oat + wheat malts with a light to moderate amount of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + oat + wheat malts with a light to moderate amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/orange + citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + tropical/passionfruit + strawberry hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving moderate lingering citrus + tropical hop flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a light to moderate amount of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light to moderate amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with nice citrus + tropical hop flavors and aromas as well as a lighter presence of strawberry.
