For our latest Berliner variation we took 1,000 lbs of local strawberries and used carbonic maceration to extract the brightest, jammiest sunshine of fruit flavor out of these berries

A: Pours a very lightly hazy pale to medium golden yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale ruby red + pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a four finger tall fizzy foamy very pale pink head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of fresh sweet overripe strawberries over the top of light to moderate aromas of slightly sour wheat malts with a light to moderate amount of lacto lemon citrus tartness. and a hint of hay-like funkiness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of slightly sour wheat malts with a minimal amount of grainy sweetness and a light amount of lacto lemon citrus tartness. That is followed by very light hints of hay-like funkiness. Finally there is a moderate to strong flavor of fresh sweet overripe strawberries with a light to moderate amount of underlying tartness. Light to moderate amounts of lingering acidic tartness + sweet strawberry in the finish.
M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with a moderate amount of acidic prickliness.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly acidic tart sour beer. Very enjoyable with very authentic flavors and aromas of overripe strawberries. Definitely worth grabbing.

On tap at brewery. Pale red color with some murk. Smell is fruity funk. Flavor is lots of hay funk, muted strawberry, mild sourness. Medium bodied. Decent for a strawberry sour.
