Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a hazy tan film that quickly fades; a few spots appear but quickly disappear
Smell: Rich dark chocolate and vanilla with a hint of hazelnut; gentle wafts of Bourbon
Taste: Rich chocolate and vanilla forward with the toasted hazelnut flavors developing, particularly as the beer warms; through the middle, the Bourbon flavors join and provide a complementary blend into the finish; a bit of a Bourbon burn in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy; almost no carbonation
Overall: Bottle #5 for me of the 2022 Ego Death series; I enjoyed three of them and the other two were too sweet; this was in third place among the top 3 for me

Had on tap. Darkness of the void black with no head. Smells strongly of vanilla, bourbon, hazelnut, and chocolate, in that order of intensity. Taste is more of a melded together whole, but I will say the hazelnut and vanilla flavors are strong here, not overpowered by barrel like so many stouts are one to do nor overly sweet. Feel is lush, smooth, full, heavy, slightly warm, and viscous. They had me at hazelnut, but this is well crafted
