16 ounce can - $3.24 at GBX (Greenville Beer Exchange) in Greenville, South Carolina.
Appearance: Pours a fairly clear, tawny brown body with a medium-small, whitish head.
Smell: A scent of toasted, lightly sweetish candied pecans with distant hints of fruit, dried savory herb.
Taste: A nutty, toasty maltiness with a fine toffee sweetness. Largely a nutty flavor from beginning to end. Very modest bitterness, lightly earthy/herbal hops. Subtle perceived fruitiness. Encroaching peppery hint on the semi-dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: A tasty alt.

Opaque darker brown body with a large billowing tan head, sudsy lacing left in the receding foam. Smell is led by big yeast, with each less strong in order: toast, earth, dark malt, multivitamin in nose. Date added in taste. Feel has the correct yeast, malt it good too, wet then dries out slightly. Very nice work here

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a dark brown (semi-transparent) with a solid 2 inches of tan head. The nose is bread, malts, toffee, wood, raisins, plum, and slight vanilla.
The taste is really nice. Malts, toffee, vanilla, oak, bread, plums, grapes, leather, and a nice earthy note. Overall, great beer.
