16oz can. Poured out an opaque, oil black color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lace. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee, toffee and caramel. Nice roasted malt taste with toasted caramel, coffee and chocolate

Nice roasty and chocolatey aroma and flavor. Nice balance; lightly sweet. Medium bodied with a dark chocolate type finish.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. great retention
Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a two finger khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, light cocoa, dark stone fruit and a hint of cherry. Flavor is dark toasted malt with a hint of char, dried plums, raisins, mocha coffee and a little hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Checks all the flavor boxes I hope for in a Baltic porter with great dark fruit notes and a little chocolate and coffee. In addition it has just a little bitterness in the finish that is not expected, but at a perfect level to mesh with the coffee notes. Mouth feel is a little light, but not by much and the nicely complex flavors more than compensate. Nicely done. I'd get this again. Wish there were more Baltic porters out there.

Finding Baltic Porters on Tavour is always a treat in a sea of hype styles typically found on the app. I’ve been hearing about Resident Culture for quite some time now so I’m excited to see what they have to offer here. Let’s crack it open and find out
Pours an opaque medium brown with 3 fingers of creamy tan head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose isn’t anything spectacular, but still displays the nice balance I expect in the the style. I’m picking up on aromas of milk chocolate, black cherry, roasty coffee, dark bread, earthy hops, black pepper, light vanilla, and raisin
The balance in taste is even better, leaning further into the dark fruit vibe that I really appreciate. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting raisin, cocoa powder, dark bread, black cherry, vanilla, toffee, light coffee, and black pepper. The swallow brings notes of black cherry, raisin, dark bread, medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, rye, earthy hops, light vanilla, and a touch of booze
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a creamy beer. Finishes a tad sticky with a slight booze presence but it doesn’t hurt the drinkability
This is just an all around solid Baltic Porter. The booze notes could stand to be dialed back a bit but it’s great as is
