From the pint can, it pours a hazy light amber color with a modest white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets pine and citrus. The mouth gets a bit of west coast bitterness followed by some peppery malt.

Mildly cloudy tangerine orange body; dense, very lively carbonation; incredibly dense and long-lasting head, white; sculpted, semi-creamy on top, sticky patches of foam cling to the inside of the glass. Fine smells of pine, tropical fruit, floral tones; light pineapple and orange; some oat-like grain notes in the background. Weak, water taste; nice soft and biscuit-like grain notes; lightweight citrus flavor; moderate sense of hop bitterness. Medium body; velvety smooth; nice carbonation tickle on the palate.
The looks are phenomenal even if the body is somewhat cloudy for a west coast India pale ale. The head and foam remnants are stupendous. The aroma is also rich and varied. The taste is where things fall apart. It's not a bad taste, just bland and watery despite distinct malt and hop character. The mouthfeel is to die for. Still, if the goal is (was) to be a west coast IPA, the taste just undermines an otherwise stupendous beer. It's not a bad taste or flavor, just weak.
