Transparent, slightly hazed copper. Small white head--foamy and soapy initially--which becomes tighter and stickier. Excellent retention.
I smelled the aroma as soon as I cracked the can! The scent of overripe fruits and sweet malt filled the room. Upon further inspection, the nose reveals cantaloupe, lemon, starfruit, and mango. Very sweet and overripe, tropical aroma. Black tea as well.
The palate mirrors the nose. Sweet and overripe cantaloupe, lemon, starfruit, and mango. More so the dried and candied versions of the aforementioned fruits. Steeped with iced black tea. The malt presence is brown sugary and biscuity. It doesn't linger with cloy by any means, but it contributes to the sugary sweetness that amplifies the candied fruit effect.
Sweet upfront and mid-palate; finishes dry and clean. No real bitterness to speak of at all.
Smooth and well-rounded mouthfeel; moderate carbonation, slicky and oily enough. Finishes clean.
This is not a traditional or accurate West Coast Style IPA by any means, but it is tasty and dangerously crushable. Too many positives to give it a bad rating. It's not your typical WCIPA, but it's good!

Mildly cloudy, golden yellow body; dense, lively carbonation; thick, rocky head, white and creamy, excellent rings of foam circle the glass. Beautiful scent; light floral tones with berries and musk melon. The taste comes across with light biscuit infused with delicate fruity esters; oats; mild citrus quality; light to moderate hop bitterness. Medium body; soft with a touch of gritty carbonation; low-key residual sugar feel with a deft touch of dryness on the finish.
Well, now. This is one fine India pale ale. The can label calls it a "westcoast India pale ale", and other than a dash of cloudiness to the body, this beer kicks some serious dorsal posterior. Everything aspect is a wonder to behold and tickle the senses with. Hopefully I be able to scare up a few more cans of this beauty.
