12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. Picked up from grocery store as part of a $10 sixer mixer. PKG: 07/22/21 printed on bottom rim of can. So this is only about a month and a half old. Should be plenty fresh.
Appearance - Hazy light amber body with a very thin ring around the top it calls a head. Needless to say it has virtually no lacing or stick either. Normally that would be pretty awful but considering this style might call for as little head as possible, it doesn't loose as much as it normally would. 3.25
Smell - A little of that corny malt. A little toasted. A little sharp and imbalanced. 3.5
Taste - Wow an explosion of flavor I didn't expect. And it's way more balanced that the nose would have suggested. Yet it finishes clean without any kind of bad aftertaste. Actually a faint, pleasant hint of honey. 4.75
Mouthfeel - As is apparently a theme with this style of beer it has a decent kick up front and then mellows out quickly while not being bland. Just a great finish. 4.75
Overall - Pretty legit. Wasn't expecting much at first, but that first sip brought it home. Very drinkable. Bold without being overwhelming. Chill without being boring. 4.75

The beer poured an amber color with minimal to no head.
Mostly sweet malt aroma, a little toast.
Caramel taste, some toast.
This beer went down really well. Will be buying more.
