Brewed in the American style, this light lager was made with two row, malted barley, melanoidin malt, and flaked corn to emulate the big boys. We threw a few Willamette hops in there as well for balance. Compa is simultaneously malty and easy drinking. So kick back, grab a burger, and enjoy.

Had on tap at Anodyne, ABQ, NM
On arrival a nice fine ger of fine white and dense head was present. Body is a light hay, to gold color. Super clear. Lacing tries to form, but sags, and only slightly clings.
Aroma is fine, but it definitely comes off as a cheaper AAL. I'm not sure if that's what they were going for, since it is technically a cheap-er lager at the bar, but this might be going for a "Mexican Lager" but craft category (aka craft AAL). Meh but fine, compared to cheap lagers, but obviously not great. Maybe a vague skunk, but I'm not sure if I'm just picking up random faults now.
Taste is nicer than the aroma, some strange lager fruity brightness is present, but this is decently malty in a very pale and honestly, surprisingly fresh, corny way. I wonder if the "blue corn" mentioned on the bar menu plays a part.
Feel is verging on, if not super dry, and is easy drinking, but the maltiness definitely adds a heaviness.
Overall this is fine. The aroma is a bit off, but better than macro corn or rice adjunct lagers. Its definitely higher quality than any macro lager, but this could be nicer on the nose. Corn does come through nicely.

It has virtually no smell and not much taste to speak of. The beer i got was about two months past the ''drink within 90 days'' date but that couldn't have diminished the flavor that much.

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. No discernible date anywhere. The can is covered in a laminated paper label, which makes it very difficult to judge how cold the beer is getting in the freezer. So beware. Also the can says 'drink within 90 days of the canned on date' yet there's no discernible date anywhere on the can.
Appearance - Pours an unimpressive medium-small white head , but has variable bubble size. Fine lacing and great stick. Pale slightly hazy straw body. 3
Smell - Faint soy sauce and alcohol. Almost smells like a gueuze too. Wtf is going on with this beer? This ain't no American Light Lager I've ever had before. 1.5
Taste - A bit too bitter and far too overpowering for a light lager. Strong alcohol, then musky wet cardboard. 2.25
Mouthfeel - Overpowered. Moderate astringency. 2.25
Overall - Possible infected or just off in general. 1.5
