This twist on a classic style combines soft wheat notes with orange, coriander, and a spicy yeast character. Bursting with flavor and prickly carbonation, The Village Wit finishes appropriately dry.

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. Picked up from the grocery store as part of a $10 sixer mixer. Can says to drink within 120 days of the date on the can, but there is no date on the can.
Appearance - Hours large 3-finger white, pancake batter head with good retention, lacing and stick. Gold body, hazy to the point of opaque. 4.75
Smell - Very standard wit smell. Pleasant, enticing. No off notes. 4.75
Taste - Thin. Watery. What little flavor there is is mostly offensive, like an acrid bitterness. Like hops and spices with none of the maltiness present in the nose to accompany it. A bit of a metallic aftertaste. 2
Mouthfeel - A little more harsh and watery than I expected or wanted. 2
Overall - Not entirely bad, but barely drinkable. But not reaching for another of these. What a shame, because it started out so strong. 2

Pours hazy yellow color with a lot of carbonation bubbles racing up to the 2+ finger thick head that faded slowly and left decent spotty lacing. It smells like biscuits, wheat, lemon zest, dry hay, coriander, musty barnyard funk and peppery spices.
Tastes also has biscuits, wheat, lemon zest, dry hay, coriander, musty barnyard funk and peppery spices, but also brings wet cardboard, toasted grains and bready notes along with a citrus finish.
Mouthfeel is light, crisp and watery with mild carbonation. Not my favorite style of brew, but well done.

Poured a hazy very pale yellow. Fruity taste that is not overwhelming. Slight head that laces the glass top to bottom. Slight carbonation that is not over done. It's a nice example.
