No canning date

Appearance: Pours a completely clear (nearly 100% clarity) medium golden color with a moderate white head. SRM of 8. (3.75)

Aroma: Strong aromas of orange citrus, tropical mango, papaya, melon. Hints of sweet berry flower off the end. Juicy.

Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange, papaya, with a light berry flower to lighten it up. Juicy and leans sweet. Minimal bitterness.

Feel: Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation and finishes smooth and sweet.

Compared to BlackStack Conducting Business 11/11/2022: Pours darker, clearer, milder head. Similar aromas. More orange citrus and tropical papaya. Less sweet mango and blueberry. More berry flower. Slightly lighter and cleaner and smoother. Similar though.

Overall: A nice and juicy IPA. Tons of tropical flavor of orange, papaya, melon, and berry flowers. The right heaviness, but doesn't have much of the hazy mouthfeel. Not a bad mouthfeel, but missing the softness from the malts. More like an AIPA mouthfeel in terms of the malts. Nails the juicy and tropical flavors here, but get the mouthfeel right and it could be more than excellent. I have high hopes for what this brewery could become. (Rating: 4.17)

Pours a hazy golden straw color with a thick 1 finger white head.. Smell is juicy tropical fruit with oats and malt. Taste very floral and fruity ,notes of oranges, melon papaya, berries and pine spritzes. Mouth is more sweet than dry, with quite soft and sweet ABV well hidden. A great example of the style. And one of the better brews I’ve had from Portage.
