Purchased a 4 pack of Pints from the grab-n-go at the register. Poured into a shaker pint
L: 4 Nice looking kolsch beer. Straw coloration with maybe the slightest hint of haze. Ample carbonation.
S: 4. Great nose for a kolsch. Hops are quite apparent. Beyond that, bready malt and maybe a hint of sweet fruit.
T: 4 It checks every box. Crisp. Bright hops. Nice malty backbone.
F: 3.75. A tad on the watery side but that's to be expected. Very thin and easy going.
O: 4 A great sessionable beer. And a good price point.

A: Darker and slightly hazier than the standard. Color approaches a mustard gold.
S: In your face and intense given the style. There's a lot of malty, dough sweetness that's needed to cover the caramel apple, pear cider, and spicy syrah grape aroma. Balanced yet intense.
M: Medium to light body. A wince of residual caramel sweetness that a Vienna lager might carry.
T: As an Americanized version I appreciate the flavor points. Cherry kool-aid, lemon-lime twist and donut dough...sweeter with more of a southern Bavarian honey accent than crisp and curt frankfurter. I like this but probably wouldn't drink this on the hottest of days. Good for early spring and late fall though.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small white head, and tons of lacing.
This smells like lemony hops, bready malt, orange peel, grassy hops, and doughy malts.
This is definitely Americanized, but it's still a tasty kolsch nonetheless. It's moderately hoppy, with a clean grassy bitterness, some doughy and bready malt character, a crisp yeast character, and some very light lemon sweetness.
This is super crisp, very clean, and very drinkable, with a light body and normal carbonation.
I've liked nearly every District 96 beer so far. It's cool to see that they can do lighter and more subtle styles well.
