Copenhagen 24/10 2023. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. NV. White can with plain simple text and vertical black stripe.
Pours opaque, hazy yellow with small white head. Settles 0,2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with sweet, odor of fermented tropical fruit mingling with subtle citrus fruit. Sweet mango and pineapple. Overripe. Alcohol. Grapefruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with strong sweetness followed by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry yet pleasant.
Wholesome and hides its considerable ABV pretty well.

Dark orange murky body, opaque but without visible flaw. Head production is good, and retention and lacing are excellent. Clearly modeled after the New England murk bombs, but a very good visual take on the style.
Hoppy and deep aroma: pine, citrus, tropical, and herbal tones abound in a pleasant blend. Bright but not sharp, herbal but not dank.
Wow, this thing packs a punch on the palate! Thick and creamy, full bodied, with just enough bite and no real alcohol heat. Sweet and malty, but that malt base doesn't so much shine as it allows the full range of the hops to express themselves. Peach, mango, pineapple, orange, pine, bright herbs, berries, cream, banana, clove, light pepper. The expression goes on and on, and every sip and moment savored reveals something else.
A damn good IPA at a massive ABV that never feels imposing.

Pours a bit like Kern's Apricot nectar in color. Fluffy off-white head rises just shy of 2 fingers high, but slowly recedes to a respectable milky cap. Nice puffs of lacing.
Smell is subtle, complex, and lovely. A lot of things going on here. Sweet grain and fruit: pineapple, dates, figs, maybe hints of grassy onion, kumquat.
Flavor is a meaty fruit mash with some sweet grain thrown in: pineapple, kiwi, prune, fig, apricot, lemon bars (with graham cracker crust & a hint of vanilla), and hints of honeydew.
What is a TIPA supposed to feel like? Well full enough, light carbonation here. Smooth finish. Hidden alcohol. All are a yes.
Overall, dangerously tasty a drinkable.
Thanks MacMalt!

Reviewed the day after can release. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours a dense, turbid, muddy-gold color with a large, fluffy, egg white colored head and thick, creamy lacing. The bright, floral nose includes lemon, pineapple, melon, vanilla cream, and D96's unique "Snake fruit" smell. It's immensely flavorful, opening with a blend of tropical fruits that is difficult to identify. However, the brewery states they are Fuyu Persimmon (Fruit Of The Gods), Pomelo, and Cherimoya. The brewers have coaxed a lot of flavor from the Citra, Mosaic, and Vice Secret hops. The Persimmon provides a hint of honey. The Pomelo adds tart bitterness, and the Cherimoya offers a banana custard taste that is unique. This is as fruity and flavorful an IPA as I've had. The mouth feel is luxuriously thick and creamy with moderate carbonation, and it drinks much too smoothly and easily than a typical 10% TIPA. Overall, this is simply amazing. It's uber fresh and I don't know how long it will retain its flavor profile but it's sublime drinking. I understand that a second batch is coming and I'm hoping to snag some more!
