We took Photo Ops hops and malt and fermented it with clean American ale yeast. Super citrusy, and crisp with a light haze. With our signature #snakefruit finish.

Maybe an NEIPA shouldn't be judged by its cover. That is a saying? It has a bright golden appearance with chilled clarity. That being said, the aroma starts off with sweet baked pear helped by a little honeyed malt. Feel is softish and reminiscent of NE but there's a sweet and crisp resiny trail to contend. Flavor is limeade, bergamot orange, unglazed donuts, stone fruit with a wintergreen tea finish.

Pretty, golden, and a tad hazy. But not a hazy. Fluffy head, 2 fingers bold at first, then settles into a respectable thin cap. Moderate retention, very light lacing.
Nose is zesty citrus (lemon, orange, grapefruit) and resiny pine.
Taste follows closely. But the resiny pine notes fight for the spotlight in the beginning. The zesty lemon peel and grapefruit come back in strong. Then it's back and forth.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, but the carbonation keeps things moving. Smooth bitter finish.
A really nice take on what would probably be considered a West Coast IPA.

Poured from fresh can into a snulip glass. It pours a slightly hazy, golden-orange color with a half finger of creamy, milk-white head and modest lacing. On the nose there is lemon peel, grapefruit rind, pine needles, and noticeable yeast. The taste opens with crisp, lite citrus with resinous pine. As it warms in the glass, there are notes of D96's familiar Snake Fruit but it's much lighter and subdued than other big D96 IPAs. The yeast is more noticeable and it finishes with clean hoppy bitterness. Its mouth feel is far liter and crisper than many other D96 New England IPAs with more lively carbonation, and the 6.8% ABV seems almost tame. D96 calls this a NE IPA but to me it has more of a West Coast feel to it. It's a nice change of pace for District 96.
