With this review (first on BA), I will be done posting beers that were at/supposed to be at the Bruery Terreux's Wild & Hoppy Beer Festival held on March 3, 2018. What a long strange trip its been.
This too, is another in the line of Offshoot beers using that London yeast. Gimmick? Who knows. Usual hazy yellow appearance, 1/3" white head. Aroma was Nelson, but came up short in the expectation department, given that this is my favorite aroma hop out there, slightly edging out Mosaic. I think it might be hard to flex next to the London yeast.
Taste was decent. Standard pale malt notes with flaked wheat/oats for the body. The Nelson hops are quite utilitarian in terms of bittering or late stage. Earthiness there without getting hefty in the body. Still I wish there was more Nelson in the nose and less on the tongue here. Its another Offshoot beer that was decent, but not as good as on paper, and tough to become a standby with all the difficulties of acquisition and price aspects.
