One If By Land is a single hop, single malt hazy IPA. Our signal light being high quality 100% American grown ingredients. Brewed with California-grown malted barley from Admiral Malting and hopped with the classic Washington based Yakima Chief Citra hops. The result is refined, delicate, and of course, easy drinking with fruity characteristics including aromas and flavors of lime, grapefruit, bright orange, and mango. Finishing at a purposeful 7.6% ABV, this one beer screams independence.

Presentation: 16 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: The robust, rocky, two and a half finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a lot of thick lacing in big patches and sheets. It's a murky, dull, straw colorĀ
Smell: It's a sharp, citric aroma of grapefruit and orange peels, tangerines, lemon and a hint of peach.
Taste: The juiciness is there but it's restrained. There's a good balance between the fruity grapefruit, pineapple and peach notes that hit the palate first and the warm, earthy, grain sweetness that appears as it goes down.
Mouthfeel: It's smooth, pillowy and mildly creamy but quite light and very refreshing with no chalkiness or roughness. Carbonation is low.
Overall: A very good beer that eschews the juice bomb formula that's so common nowadays in favor of a more balanced and traditional flavor profile. All while still keeping the bitterness low and the pillowy mouthfeel that's characteristic of the NEIPA style intact.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Very turbid opaque body and a dull murky yellow. Very large head but with very light retention and big amounts of bubble bath like sudsy white foam. Kind of looks like dirty bath water.
Enjoyable hop nose. For a 100% citra brew, a surprising amount of aromas. Spicy earth with a mix of citrus and tropical. Quite nice and balanced. Real good sense of spice on this brew as well, with a mellow sweetness.
Palate is very enjoyable. Excellent mouthfeel that is practically creamy rather than juicy. Soft touching palate feel that hits a little citrus orange and lemon peel qualities. Excellent zesty aftertaste, with a light spritzy bitterness.
Pretty neat tasting NEIPA, one that seems like it's going to be a juice bomb, but surprises in a simple direction.
