Inspired by the love for our fuzzy feline friends. Clawz is a hazy IPA brewed with Simcoe, Nelson, Pacific Gem, and Calista hops. Tropical notes of passion fruit are rounded out with light citrus and pine characteristics. Enjoy this beer knowing a portion of proceeds will be donated to support the Orange County SPCA.

This was obtained and consumed in late summer 2019, August.
Pours a hazy amber color. Darker than most ipas, be it hazy or otherwise. 1/2" creamy slightly off white head. Nelson here was nice to smell on, had a light danky weed, armpit, humid guava kind of thing going for it with some bittering (presumably Simcoe) hops eeking through in the aroma too. I presume the light stone fruit note is the rare to me Callista hop. Nicely done.
Taste takes on a pine astringency upside a heftier amount of barley. Compared to their pawz, a double ipa, this actually seems just as if not maltier. Light passion fruit and caramel note. Hint of green pepper to it. Had a light burn like some Revision ipas do. Is it wrong to not like the label wraps on these cans? I've gotten so used to getting stickers to later place somewhere around the house or town.
Either way, I think I liked Pawz slightly more than Clawz, but both are worthy of checking out especially once the 'good cause' rationale comes out.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Big fat headed brew, with a light off white color and bursting 3 to 4 finger tall head. Slightly turbid, but solid opqaue body, matching a kind of brown swampy yellow color.
Soft hoppy quality, but fairly small aroma on the nose. Hints a bit of floral to dank qualities, with a fairly neutral base. Slightly closed but pleasant nose.
Palate brings everything together simply. Good malt base that creates a sightly creamy quality, with a faint touch of tropical mid palate hop fruit. Aftertaste is a bit lighter giving to thin grass and green herb like hop character. Maybe even a touch of sage thrown in the mix. Lighter body than the palate indicates but doesn't get too watery.
Pretty pleasant slightly low key NEIPA.
