High Five! It’s time to celebrate another trip around the sun for Offshoot Beer Co. In celebration of 5 years of hoppy ’n hazy beers, we give you 5— a double dry-hopped hazy double IPA with 100% Citra hops. Enjoy a bright and citrusy aroma with big, juicy notes of grapefruit, lychee, peach, and gooseberry. Inspired by all our Bruers, we collected drawings from our team to make up the can art of this celebratory hazy. Cheers!

Canned on: March 2022 (that's about all I can make out, the ink is difficult to read).
A - Opaque dark orange brown color with dense frothy lacing. Looks kinda like swill swater if ya ask me.
S - Big citrus, sweet red grapefruit, and pulpy peach aroma slam the nose.
T - Follows the nose (and big surprise). Peach, citrus, sweet grapefruit, and citrus rind with a slight bit of peppery spice. Ends balanced with some citrus bitterness underneath and leaves a nice lingering pulpy citrus on the palate.
M - Thick, chewy, and full bodied with some frothiness around the edges.
O - This is a really nice D-IPA and the first beer I'm trying from this brewery. Recommended and still pretty good at somewhere around (6) weeks out?

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
