Oh how the mighty have hoppen. After all the denial of bitterness, the Offshoot Beer Co. embraces the lupulin for a mighty IPA made in the more bitter, resinous and piney ways.
The Mighty Hops comes at us with a golden chrome pour while topping off with a cottony eggshell froth. As its fruity scent of candied citrus and sweet pine lures in the nose, the taste starts off lightly of caramel, wafer and honey to suggest a dry granola character.
As the ale slowly dries on the middle palate, the hops elevate to show a bolder display of pink grapefruit, oranges and lemon. With suggestions of pineapple and apricot glowing in taste, the candied sweetness keeps the session in balance for an even-keel late palate of grasses, pine and herbs.
Medium bodied, mostly crisp and quite refreshing, the characterful pale ale finishes slightly on the bitter end of bitter-sweet with a malty-dry aftertaste decorated with citrus peel and fragrant grasses.

Interesting shade of copper. Tiny white head, but no lacing to speak of. Nose was citrus as was the taste. There is a slight sweet after taste but not offensive,
