A: Pours a dark brown, nearly black color. A two finger beige head forms with good retention initially. That recedes to leave some light lace.
S: Caramel and sweet, sweet malts. That is all I get in the nose. Almost like sugar water.
T: Like the nose, sweet and more sweet. Sugary, maybe like chocolate. Though really one dimensional.
M/O: A medium body that is sticky and resiny. Kind of muddled carbonation, and just kind of uninspired. Which is not something I am particularly looking to come back to.
A really sweet stout, cloying in that regard. Outside of a bit of chocolate, I could not really tell t he difference between this an the Hefe. Which is not good to say the least. They both just tasted sweet (much more in the sugary way and not the chocolate way).
