Sampled on tap at the brewery. This is Second State's single-hop IPA, Cascade version. Pretty, deep copper colored pour. Not much head due to typical tap draw, but the small white head stayed around for a while before settling and leaving some sticky lacing. Understated aromas and flavors of light caramel, biscuit, pine, grapefruit, and orange. Not as much flavor from the hops as you might expect, but this brew is nicely balanced and easy drinking. There is a ton of sticky bitterness from the dry hopping, as well as some lingering grapefruit zest on the finish. I had this with Filipino food-truck cuisine at the brewery, and it was the bomb. Overall, this is another solid offering in Second State's tasty lineup.
